Situated between the blue waters of the Mediterranean and the Tibidabo Hills, Barcelona the Catalonian capital sparkles with vibrant colours and an intensity that is hard to rival. At the forefront of a unique and intriguing culture, this city places you amongst some of the most visionary artists of the modern era as well as being on the doorstep of some of the great playgrounds and vacation retreats of Europe.
From the modernist spires of Antonio Gaudi's Sagrada Familia to Picaso's Cubism and Dali's Surrealism, the unique Catalan perspective still impacts on the world you see today. As you stroll down Las Ramblas or wander through the Gothic Quarter you will be surrounded by ornate churches, ice cream houses, flower stalls, street artists and a way of living unknown to Northern Europe.
Having immersed yourself in culture now is the ideal time to relax, watch the world go by and sample the local tapas in preparation for the evening's marcha. Barcelona is renowned for its nightlife and at times it seems that every corner offers a new club, café, bar or restaurant. Drift from the many bars in the Gothic Quarter to the trendy cafes of Eixample or the open-air nightclubs that overlook the city in the Tibidabo Hills.

“I think that the best thing about the course was that it really prepares you for teaching. The teachers give you a strong foundation of grammar, as well as teaching methods.
