TEFL TESOL Course England - Plymouth
SINGLE-CENTRE AND TWIN-CENTRE COURSES
Taking your TESOL certificate in another country means that you are ready to start looking for jobs as soon as you complete your course but for many people the idea
of taking the whole course abroad is a little daunting. Our Twin-Centre courses allow you to begin your studies in the UK and complete them at one of our many
centres world wide. This way you have the best of both options!
Our UK centre is located in Plymouth, the historic coastal city in the glorious South West of England famed for its nautical connections.
In 1620 the Pilgrim Fathers set sail from the Mayflower Steps on their historic voyage to Massachusetts, North America to found the new world and just up the road in Hoe
Sir Francis Drake cut short his game of bowls to do battle with the Spanish Armada.
Plymouth embraces all things marine, from National powerboat racing and sailing to being the home of the National Marine Aquarium. The surrounding countryside of
the Dartmoor National Park and Cornwall offers you some of the most spectacular Britain has to offer. The city lifestyle encompasses a vibrant nightlife, excellent
restaurants and cafes, theatres, art galleries, ice rink, pools and even a dry-ski slope should you feel the urge for some piste action!
Our Plymouth Centre is located in the heart of the city next to the University and close to a thriving nightlife scene, wide variety of restaurants, shops, sports
and other activities. With courses running year round in Plymouth your start dates are flexible. You can choose to take the full 4-week course with us here or,
following your two weeks in Plymouth, transfer to France, Spain, Vietnam, Costa Rica, China, South Korea or Thailand to complete the course. The choice is yours.

Country Costs
The cost of living in Britain is high, especially in places like London and the South East.
If you plan to stay in a cheap hostel, use public transport and eat in pubs and cafés then a daily budget
of £30-40 should be enough. If, on the other hand, you want to rent a car, eat in restaurants and
stay in comfortable B&Bs, then budget of at least £90 per day is more realistic.
Visa Requirements
Most European citizens can enter the UK with just a passport and stay up to three months. EU
citizens can stay indefinitely and are eligible to find work in the UK. Australians, Canadians,
New Zealanders and Americans are eligible for stays of up to six months providing they have a return
ticket and sufficient funds to cover the cost of their stay. Visitors from most other countries will
require a visa. This can be obtained from the British consular or mission office in the country of
application.
Health & Safety
Vaccinations are not required for entry in to the UK and EU citizens are entitled to free medical
care with the National Health Service. TEFL International strongly advises health care insurance
policy to all potential trainees. Additional cover against theft and loss as well as illness and
injury should be taken out. Whilst it is generally safe to travel in the UK, all visitors should
take care of their personal belongings, especially in London. There is also a threat of international
terrorism comparable to the USA.
