 Prague is not only one of the most beautiful cities in all Europe, but the low cost of living makes it even more appealing. The Czech Republic lived under communism for almost half a century, however, it is now quickly catching up with its other European neighbours.
Not surprisingly, Prague was selected as a Cultural City of Europe for the year 2000 by UNESCO as it remains a magical, romantic fairytale setting - the city of 1000 spires. Prague is a great location to see the rest of the Czech Republic, but also a close vicinity to neighbouring countries like Germany, Slovakia / Hungary, Poland and Austria.
Theatre and the arts are prominent and readily accessible as well. Prague boasts literally dozens of theaters, opera houses and museums, including The Czech Museum of Fine Arts in Old Town. Operas, plays and art exhibitions are constantly changing and offer those who truly appreciate the arts unforgettable experiences.
