English as a Universal Language

English is no doubt the universal language. No argument there. It is the second largest native language in the world. English is prominent both in written and oral. That is why, wherever you are, you will always see an English word from street signs to restaurants, or from billboards to textbooks. Through the English language, it has made almost everything possible. Communications and Business, among others, are two of the English-dependent areas worldwide.

Aided with technological advancements, industrialization, and the like, people can communicate and make transactions using the English language at a large rate. Aside from the fact that it is easy to learn, the English language is your safety net which you can put in your back pack anytime you travel to learn different cultures, go on business trips and deal with foreigners, be an emigrant overseas, etc. The explanation behind the statement on English language as a safety net is that when travelling; should it be necessary that you communicate to people of different languages, English will be understood easily because its simplicity and existence for generations has proved a remarkable change in human interrelationships.

In the area of tourism, mutual understanding and communication between people of contrasting linguistic background is a challenge that has evolved into a demand over the years. Tourist industries have defined communication needs such as transactions conducted between a tourism industry worker and a tourist. Most tourist-related transactions and events involve the use of money. Thus, communication pertaining to currency, negotiations, and others are very important. Likewise, in the field of transport and accommodation, the English language is used to convey messages regarding instructions and for normal conservations.
