Manchester is one of Britain's largest cities but with the warmth and welcome of a village. Renowned for the role it played in leading the industrial revolution, the city is now a throbbing urban centre with the attractions and culture you would expect.

Football aside, Manchester offers a wide choice of things to see, do and experience. From museums and galleries to shopping and eating, the city has a cosmopolitan atmosphere and a unique identity. Hosting three universities in its central area, Manchester has a large student population and a corresponding vibrant nightlife.

Manchester is one of three locations in the UK running our PELT Cert. TESOL and our Taste of TEFL programmes. The TEFL International Taste of TEFL is a great introduction to English Language Teaching and ideal if you are unsure about committing to a full TEFL course.

Covering twice the hours and twice the content of shorter weekend courses, the Taste of TEFL will introduce you to the world of teaching English and provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to teach your first lesson.

Working closely with our partner language school based in the centre of the city, the PELT programme offers a unique approach to English Language Teacher Training in an authentic language school environment.

The TEFL International PELT Cert. TESOL is an affordable and flexible way to earn your teaching certificate and get the teaching experience employers are looking for. The course is highly practical and combines classroom based tuition with a DVD Self-Study Pack and a substantial teaching practice element, much more than traditional certificate courses.

The teaching practice component of your PELT course can be completed at our partner language school. With a minimum of 40 hours teaching real students, you will gain valuable practical experience as an English language teacher.
